Finally, here's my KTTO Summer Contest entry!

And here's a fun fact about this piece:
What I did this summer isn't just a title, it's actually what I did this summer. This is what I spent my summer doing: Drawing nonstop and trying to improve my skills. I'm still a novice when it come to digital art, but I feel like I've still come a ways over these last few months. I've gained 35 watchers this summer, and I've found a very nice, close-knit community. I feel like I've finally found my place here on dA. I hope to keep improving and growing this year.

I must say, the drawing is pretty cute! I really like the Toons in this picture. They're very dynamic, as they're actually doing something, whether it's resting by the tree, or pretending to be a monkey at the top of it. I like that. The shading's pretty nice, though, I'd prefer if the lines were a bit more refined. (I can't really explain that very well, though. I need to show you, since it would be better.)
The tree itself is what I think needs to be fixed. It strikes me as more of an autumn event, rather then a summer event, due to the lack of green leaves at the branches. The sunset you drew actually compliments the tree in that way. If you made the trees look the way they do in summer, then compliment it with a bright day instead of a sunset, it would be even better!
Also, you've said that you spent your summer drawing and improving. It would be better if you had either your main Toon or any 3 Toons drawing pictures. Then, you'd have a good picture and a good story to back the picture up, which would land you in a winning position in my book.
Anyway, that's just my opinion, since you asked for it! You can take it or leave it!
